Ms. Naomi Lumutenga, HERS-EA Executive Director presented the unique HERS-EA model at a parallel event during the 67th UN Committee on Status of Women (CSW67). It was one of the events that marked this year’s international Women’s Day. The theme for this year's celebration, which resonated with the HERS-EA model, focused on 'Innovation and Technological Change, and Education in the Digital Age for Achieving Gender Equality and the Empowerment of All Women and Girls. The HERS-EA model, with its emphasis on education, leadership, and advocacy, aligns well with the broader goal of empowering women globally in the face of evolving challenges and opportunities. The parallel event at CSW67 provided a platform to showcase how HERS-EA's approach can contribute to advancing women's empowerment, especially in the context of higher education institutions and beyond. The international stage of CSW67 allowed for sharing insights, exchanging ideas, and fostering collaborations that can further amplify the impact of the HERS-EA model on women's leadership and gender equity.
