HERS-EA is offering fully funded scholarships for two HERS-EA Academy alumni to attend the HERS Leadership Institute in Denver, USA, from June 9-18, 2025. Eligibility criteria include: 1) HERS-EA alum with a collaborative leadership project, 2) 3+ years in middle to senior leadership, 3) Commitment to a 3-year leadership role with HERS-EA, and 4) Candidates will also present on "HERS-EA, the next decade," focusing on recruitment and engagement in East Africa.

Administrative Intern
HERS-EA is looking for a motivated Administrative Intern to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This part-time, 3-month internship (October - December 2024) is open to recent graduates or current students pursuing degrees in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Communication, Accounting, or related fields. You will gain experience in supporting daily operations, and enjoy mentorship and networking opportunities.

Lead Researcher (Ethiopia) – 1 position
HERS-EA is seeking a Lead Researcher to spearhead the development of an educational model for refugee and IDP communities across Ethiopia, including Amhara, Oromiya, Sidama, Somali, and Addis Ababa. The Lead Researcher will supervise the research team, manage the project, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications. Candidates should have a Master's degree, at least 3 years of research experience, and familiarity with refugee/IDP environments. HERS-EA is recruiting Research Assistants to participate in the research study aimed at developing an educational model for refugee and IDP communities across Ethiopia. The Research Assistants will be involved in field data collection, tool development, and supporting the Lead Researcher.
