Higher Education Resource Services-East Africa (HERS-EA) is seeking a qualified and experienced external auditor to undertake a comprehensive audit of our financial records for the fiscal year 2023/2024. HERS-EA is a regional nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing leadership and governance in higher education for women in East Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct an independent audit of HERS-EA’s financial statements in accordance with international auditing standards.
● Review and assess the accuracy, completeness, and fairness of financial records, including income, expenditures, and assets.
● Provide a detailed audit report and recommendations for improving financial management processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
● Proven experience in auditing nonprofit organizations.
● Knowledge of international financial reporting and auditing standards.
● Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to provide actionable insights.
● Ability to work within specified timelines.
